We have supplied a program on your "An Open Book" Apollo 2 SSIL driver disk
called READIT, which enables you to read the ASCII text file versions of the
manuals. You can also use READIT with HAL and your synthesiser. To do this:

	1. Install HAL in the manner described on pages 8-11 of the
		HAL Screen Reader User Guide.

	2. At the DOS prompt type:

			VIEW filename <ENTER>

		Where "filename" is APOLLO2.TXT, README.TXT,
		FILES.TXT, or OBUSER.TXT

	3. Finally, to start HAL reading your manual, press:

			<ALT> and <P>, then <C>

For An Open Book version 1.1 and above...

To use the default settings, Apollo 2 on COM1: or Europa PC 2 card
just follow the instructions in the Open Book installation specifing a
speech device name of 'APOLLO2' or 'EUROPA2'. Insert this disk when
prompted to and installation will be done automatically.

For An Open Book version 1.01 or if you want to customise the settings...

When you install the Open Book, specify no speech device.
Insert this disk after installing the Open Book and change directory into
either the apollo2 or europa2 sub-directories as appropriate on this disk.

Type install -? to get a list of the installation options.

Note that this driver is a single piece of code with an .ini file to specify
com port number and other configuration.

N.B. The only difference between the Apollo 2 and Europa 2 driver directories
is the line type= in the apollo2.ini file.
